I’m sure you’re one of those people who hates it when a player leaves the game and causes the end of the match.
Those called «Toxic Players» who leave the game without thinking about the other players and who do not deserve to be treated the same as those who play a match till the end.
When I started developing «Charlie«, I knew that I had to implement something that would show the player who he was going to face when he played as Survivor and that he could decide whether or not to play the match with that player.
Obviously you can’t decide who can or can’t play your game, but you can alert other players about what kind of player is going to handle Charlie.
That’s why I decided to implement a simple but effective system that show the trust level based on the number of times a player doesn’t finish a match and doesn’t get back to the Lobby.
If when you play like Charlie you finish all the games and don’t harm the other players, your trust level will remain intact and every time a player joins your game they will know you are someone they can trust and they will stay with you in the lobby until the match starts.
If, however, you are a toxic player who usually leaves the match when other players are ahead of you, you will be sanctioned and your trust level will decrease.
It doesn’t matter if you leave the game from the in-game menu or if you close the game from the desktop, your trust level will be reduced anyway.
To regain your trust level you will have to play and finish several matches without quitting.
And once you are in the lobby you can leave without any problem.
I hope that this way we can have a better community and we can all enjoy the game better while we can choose who we want to play with.
